Charlottetown, PE, November 1, 2014 – Island Recruiting/EmployPEI along with four other island companies were awarded funding from the Provincial government’s Pilot and Discovery Fund.
The Pilot and Discovery Fund is a competition to find and support projects that are early stage and have a strong potential for success. Research and development requires up-front costs that can be difficult for small businesses in the Province to cover. This program helps bridge the gap between development costs incurred and revenue generated by a commercial ready product.
Island Recruiting’s EmployPEI website is a robust Labour Market Intelligence Predicative Analytics Platform that collects national labour market data to assist with employee recruiting and job placement. The tool provides companies a better understanding of labour market segments, improves recruitment and retention rates, and can track longitudinal data.
“We are very excited to continue to develop and fine tune our EmployPEI solution. As a recruiting firm that has helped many island companies with growth and expansion, and armed with the robust labour market data that we continue to collect, we believe that we can provide help to local governments and company expansion and relocation efforts all across Canada.”
Each successful company under the Pilot and Discovery Fund will receive $25,000 in funding to further its research and development work.
